$250,000

Small preservation projects can present big challenges given designation requirements and limited financial tools for projects under $1M.

CHALLENGE

To navigate a masonry restoration project in the heart of a historic district, New History developed a historic tax credit approval strategy, assessed masonry, defined repair needs, developed bid documents, assisted the owner obtaining and reviewing bids, and completed city, state, and federal preservation applications.

SUCCESS

This award-winning project successfully utilized state and federal historic rehabilitation tax incentives and preserved the family-owned building for generations to come.
